6th Grade Science
Hello, my name is Emily Black and I teach 6th grade science.. I grew up in the Irmo/St. Andrews area and I am the middle of three daughters. As a young girl, I played school for hours and knew in the 4th grade that I wanted to become a teacher. I graduated from Irmo High School in 1986. I began teaching at Fulmer in 1990 after earning my B.A. degree in education from Columbia College. I completed my M.Ed at Columbia College in 1995. I live in Lexington with my husband, David, who is a retired forensic investigator. In my free time, I Iike to cook, spend time with my family, socialize with our best friends and watch college football and basketball. My husband and I are active in our church, The Harvest. I am so grateful that the Lord has allowed me the privilege of teaching at Fulmer for 34 years. It has been extremely rewarding to help my students become college/career ready and reach their full potential to make a positive difference in our world.
