6th Grade Science
Hello, my name is Emily Black and I teach 6th grade science. I grew up in the St. Andrews area and I am the middle of three daughters. As a young girl, I played school for hours and knew in the 4th grade that I wanted to become a teacher. I graduated from Irmo High School in 1986. I began teaching at Fulmer in 1990 after earning my B.A. degree in education at Columbia College. I completed my M.Ed at Columbia College in 1995. I live in Lexington with my husband, David, who is a retired forensic investigator. My dad is a retired accountant and my mother retired as a school teacher. Both of my sisters are nurses in Charleston. In my free time, I Iike to cook, spend time with my family and socialize with our best friends. My husband and I are active in our church, The Harvest, and we teach an adult class on Sunday mornings. I am so grateful that the Lord has allowed me the privilege of helping young people at Fulmer for 28 years to be college/career ready and hopefully, reach their full potential to make a positive difference in our world.
