Greetings and welcome to Fulmer Middle School!
It is a great honor to have your family as a part of the Fulmer Middle School community! This is an exciting time for Fulmer, as we've been redesignated for the second time as a National School to Watch as 1 of 21 schools in South Carolina and 1 of approximately 400 schools in the nation, our Professional Development Schools Network partnership with the University of South Carolina, and our multi-million dollar facelift to our facility that is currently underway.
I am in my sixth year as Principal, following five years of service as an Administrative Assistant Principal and Assistant Principal at Fulmer. Prior to moving to Fulmer, I served as a teacher and coach at Pine Ridge Middle School in Lexington Two. I am a graduate of Newberry College and hold a Masters of Education and Educational Specialist degree in Education Administration from the University of South Carolina. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Education Administration from the University of South Carolina, as well.
Aside from my work at Fulmer Middle School, I have served as Secretary of the S.C. Association for Middle Level Education (SC-AMLE), a member of the national affiliate Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE), Association for School Curriculum and Development (ASCD) S.C. Association of School Administrators (SCASA), state level Schools to Watch team, S.C. Middle Grades Initiative, and I serve collaboratively as a clinical adjunct with the University of South Carolina in the Professional Development Schools Network.
My husband, Joseph, and I have two sons, William (6) and James (3), and we enjoy attending Gamecock athletic events, fixing up our house, chasing our two sons around, accumulating stamps in our passports, and enjoying time with friends and family.
