Band & Career Ed

Keith D. Williams is in the 34th year of his teaching career, and his 22nd year at FMS. Originally from Baxley, GA, he received a BME and MME from USC. He has received National Board Certification in the area of Early Adolescent/Young Adult Music. As a conductor, Mr. Williams has been a clinician of the Richland One Middle School Honor Band and the USC Summer Band Clinic. As a performer, he has played saxophone in pit orchestras of both the Town and Workshop theaters, the Ringling Brothers circus band, and is a charter member of the Palmetto Concert Band. He also has sung the national anthem at USC athletic events with the barbershop quartet the "Gamechords." His wife Sabrina teaches at FMS, and his daughter Kathryn is the band director at Aiken Middle School. When not teaching, he enjoys reading and writing biographies.
