Greetings and welcome to Fulmer Middle School!
It is a great honor to have your family as a part of the Fulmer Middle School community!
I am in my 11th year as Principal at Fulmer Middle School and 21st year of service in Lexington School District Two. My service at Fulmer has included 5 years as an Assistant Administrator and Assistant Principal. Prior to moving to Fulmer, I served as a teacher and coach at Pine Ridge Middle School in Lexington Two. I am a graduate of Newberry College (2003) and hold a Masters of Education (2008), Educational Specialist (2018), and Doctor of Philosophy (2022) degrees in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of South Carolina.
Aside from my work at Fulmer, I enjoy being a part of the S.C. Association for Middle Level Education (SC-AMLE), a member of the national affiliate Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE), Association for School Curriculum and Development (ASCD) S.C. Association of School Administrators (SCASA), National Forum to Accelerate Middle Grades Reform, state level Schools to Watch team, S.C. Middle Grades Initiative, S.C. Education Association (SCEA), and the S.C. Education Policy Fellowship.
I was recently recognized as SCASA's 2022 State Middle Level Principal of the Year (2022), Newberry College Hall of Master Teachers (2022), Dr. Randy Wall Distinguished Service Award (2023), and a University of South Carolina Champion for Education (2023).
My husband, Joseph, and I have two sons, William (11) and James (7). I am an avid Gamecock supporter and sports Mom, and I enjoy reading and cooking. I relish time spent with our family and friends and love being outside on the water.
